Default Who's playing everquest 2?

Topic says it all. The recent changes and hype have sucked me in. But I hate playing alone, what server are most people actively playing on?
I really hope my name gets through the filter...
oh yeah, how long should it take to get to 60-70, or is it even practical to just power level up to the top tier?

If you really want to you can hit 30 in a week. I know someone who hit 60 in 30days but that was some hardcore play time logged and some help from bonus xp weekends. I play casually and if I really wanted to could do a level every week It really just depends on how hard you want to play. When you group keep the level range to within in 3 and the xp will go faster. If you have had an account for a while you get veteran rewards and potions that help with xp as well.

The 1-30 game has changed a ton and is allot more fun that it used to be. Good luck

I have started play since the LU19. It's fun. I only have time to play about 5 hours a week. Sometimes less. A lot more casual friendly game now.

This last two weekends helped a casual gamer in eq2 like me do get many levels that I wouldnt of gotten without the double exp, I went from 1-45 troubador atm in about 2 weeks but I was 100 percent dedicated and didnt have any work those days. I'd be playing more but I still cant get away from everquest 1 :/

Cancelled EQ2 sometime back, due to lack of fun.

Am still enjoying EQ1, and they are tossing in some new stuff now and then to keep it fun and challenging.

When I created a new toon last night for PVP all the servers were RED and said heavy for load. Last night there 4 instances of Outpost the Overlord and in the Scale Yard (newbie start zone for lizards) there were over 20 people lol.

On Kithicor it's pretty much the same way. It seems there's tons of people playing these days in fact I don't care for it much (too much competition) but I know some people do. I have found the best experience is not soloing. A duo or trio plowing through even con to blue heroics will net you way more xp than soloing unless you have good gear and can actually take a few herocis yourself or you like to quest. There is only so much running around I can take till I start wanting to just go kill something =\ Other than that a good group of 6 can easily plow down mobs several levels higher and get great exp and loot but remember your level spread....seriously 3 levels works great.

Mog at 45 I'd get myself in a group to kill giants in Sol Eye or raptors in Sinking Sands (but that's DoF). If you can't get a full group try duo'ing the giants outside SE and the drakotas. Hail the named goblin just inside the entrance and pickup "Saving Soles" it's the GEB HQ and I levelled 45-47 just doing that quest Of course you have to kill ALLOT of shit but the reward is worth it.

If you haven't played EQ2 since Feb of this year the low level game has completely changed by low level I mean levels 1-30. New quests and the Good Isle and Evil Isles are completely different with different types of quests. They are actually better representations of the factions.

They did away with the godawful archetype system. When you start at level one you choose your class. No more waiting until level 20 to be a Necro or Paladin.

The armor is more diverse (thank god) and the quests are very well done and follow a nice progression. It's easily soloable to level 30 from quests alone. I'm too social though and am in a tight group of people who always play together, we're eagerly levelling our PvP toons to go whip up some Qeynos goodies.

If anyone starts playing and has questions drop me a PM here and I will give you my toon names I play most often. I'm happy to help in any way I can but I'm by far no expert and I gave up on the high end (it's too freaking time consuming) so my raid knowledge above T5 is nil.

Thanks for the info Fild I will have to try that out, I have decent gear but it doesnt take me long to die so I assume you think I should group with maybe a Conjurer who can tank them? Right now I only play if I have vitality because after seeing how my exp was going for the last two weekends, no vitality exping its just depressing.

oh, also, are there any classes i should avoid in terms of utility? I was thinking about being a warrior again, or a cleric, but which version of each is better?

Daddio some classes are nearly group dependant, so keep that in mind if you want to solo. Classes like true tanks or healers like temps and inquisitors have a hard time. So what type of play style did you have in mind?

Mog doing quests gives exp and doesn't burn vitality I rotate toons anymore when I run out of vitality b/c you're right it sucks to play with none. Since I dinged 3 levels on my Pally recently I moved on to my necro got 5 levels over the weekend and moved on. I can't stand playing without it.

Also tradeskill vitality is different from adv. vitality.
