Has it calmed down or still outrageous? I haven't seen as many calculated raids like I did in the first weeks but I still get hit a lot. Of course I hit more than I used to as well.

Less raids, but still gank fest here and there, at least on my server.
Gadgetzan, Plaguelands (chapelle mostly) and Tarren Mill/Southshore are the place you wanna be if you want to participate to the party. Constant fights there (1st place for TM by far), zerg vs zerg. Can't wait CTF 10vs10 battlegrounds!! ![]()

Tons happening on Stormrage in Tarren Mill/Southshore area still. Every time I run through there I get lagged out all to hell.

Too bad the TM/Southshore zerg is the "junkfood" of the WoW PvP world -- you'll get lots of kills (calories), but they won't be worth very many contribution points (low nutrients.)
The smaller scale encounters I've had in places like Stranglethorne Vale and Un'Goro Crater have been much more valuable than the times I've participated in the TM/Southshore zerg. |

It's evolved from 400 Alliance morons at Tarren Mill to packs of 5 rogues killing anything that rezzes around TM, XR, or Orgrimmar.

I don't want to start flames (especially about other classes) so i'll just leave 1 cent instead of 2...
Stealth groups = biggest pansy asses ever. Especially when they use a paladin to bait.

Going anywhere near Tarren Mill actually manages to disconnect me. If you go to other places though, such as Stranglethorn, it's alot more calm (as long as you don't go into Booty Bay) and people more than 5 or so levels above me tend to leave me alone and even kill the mob I'm fighting if it looks like I'm dying. That's not to say that there isn't much ganking going on, cause there is, but it's usually 1on1's between people of more or less equal level.
Personally I don't understand how anyone can sign up for a pvp raid, it doesn't really award any honor points at all, or does it? I tried once and it was beyond pointless... |

On Skullcrusher we have been getting hit a lot in the Badlands. The lag there has been ungodly. Our usual hunting party just moved to STV to do some quests so I really haven't spent much time there to know how the ganking is.
Southshore is also a fairly large battle ground for us.

Lol its the truth too. There is a wad of these pussies on Blackhand alliance who think they are gonna kick ass in BG's. We'll see what happens when the objective is no longer farming cluless morons for CPs rofl ![]() And bring on the rogue zergs. They are the boullon of my CP's. If Alliance on test server is representative of the Alliance on Blackhand, horde is going to have BGs on lockdown for a while, as Alliance slowly realizes that paladin consecrate bombs, rogue stealth zergs and sheer overwhelming numbers are no longer viable.

That is correct, because of diminishing returns. Say the average level 60 is worth 400 CPS to a level 60. In a raid, you'll only get like 400/40 or 10 points where solo you would have gotten 400. Then, the next kill they are only worth 100 points, or basically 2 points in a raid. The difference there is between 500 points and 12 points. Yes, raids net far more kills, but the truth of the matter is more often than not those 40 people in your raid are only pulling from a pool of 40 or 50 people at say, Tarren Mill -- or in Battlegrounds on Test. You'll kill these people over and over and over again but get no where near as many points as one would solo or in a small group. I've been charting my progress and seem to average 50 CPs / kill and try to obtain at least 500 kills a week. This has kept me in the top 50 on my server but I can't seem to break into the top 30s, where the mounts are ![]() Lately I'll admidt that pvp has died down and my guild is having a tough time maintaining our goals, most of our members actually fell short of their 400 kill goals this past week, though luckily no one lost their ranks. |
