Default Updates from the boards on various issues...

Found these mostly at the FoH boards, with a couple more that I found, for those(like me) who stay far away from the blizzard boards.

Server Transfers

They are in testing at the moment. We're working on them!

They are going to be from high-population to low-population and across the same rulesets -- I don't know at this time whether transfer between timezones will be an option.

Exhaulted Status in other factions
Quote:
Great timing, Apophis! I only just received the answer to this inquiry moments ago. Currently it's not possible to obtain the Exalted status necessary to obtain another race's mount. The development team realizes that this is a problem and are actively working on adding faction quest content that can be repeated by players, similar to what exists for the Argent Dawn factional quests.

Please keep in mind that the faction currently being gained will still be useful when the said changes have been implimted, as players will be that much closer to hitting the Exalted mark.

Spirit
Quote:
Rest assured, improvements to Spirit as it applies to each class is being looked into by the development team, Dunbary. As soon as additional information has been made available to me concerning this particular statistic, I will provide an update.

Warrior buffs/fixes
Quote:
Hmmm... I think I can manage a tidbit drop or two about what's up for Warriors in the next patch...

Heroic Strike's damage is increasing.

The Execute bug -- when all rage is consumed upon a miss/dodge/parry/etc. -- is being fixed.

Thunder Clap's damage will be Physical rather than Nature-based. The damage itself is increasing, and the duration will increase with each new rank.

That's not everything... but does that help? - Caydiem -

Raid bug and Patch date?
Quote:
The raid lockout bug is fixed internally and said fix will be in the next patch. The instance will save your progress at the proper time, and you should go to your raid leader's instance upon zoning in. You will also have access to a new /raidinfo command that shows your remaining time on the saved instance.

I do not have a time estimate for you other than it's fairly close.

And then this is one I found while looking around at these:

Lack of communcation/information?
Quote:
As I've said, I've taken the first steps in opening up the communication flow, but it isn't an instantaneous change. I'm working for you folks as your advocate and I'm going to get a better flow of information if it's the last thing I do, but I cannot flip a switch and have everything change. Rest assured I am working on it.

Posting the full internal bug list would not be prudent. There might be bugs, for example, that do not directly affect players (let's say, the wandering range on squirrel critters is too large). Also, there may be potential exploits that, if aired to public view, would have great potential for destroying the integrity of the game. These are long-lasting effects that can never be fully scoured away.

I'm not saying that we're going to ignore any bugs mentioned and leave them unacknowledged -- one of the things I'm trying to achieve is much faster acknowledgement that yes, that issue is known about by the development staff and they are working on getting a fix to you. Not seeing that blue text may give one the opinion that we're unaware or simply don't care about that particular problem -- this is untrue, of course, and I want to increase the awareness that we are working on the problems you see in game.

Of course, one of those steps is patching more regularly so you can not only see blue text that we are working on the problems, but see the fixes in game as well. The time that has passed since our last patch is not the sort of schedule we want to maintain and is understandably unfair to our customers. The development staff is shifting gears and, after this next content patch, should be releasing patches with less of a wait.

Patch Notes(from above thread)
Quote:
This is another thing we're improving, Jovial. Tyren's been busy doing just that, trying to get every change, no matter how insignificant, from the development team so that when the patch is done and released we have a wealth of notes to give you.

There's quite a few gaming magazines now claiming that the Battlegrounds patch won't be released until July. Let me find a few links.

Would those be the same sage predictions that said WoW release was last summer?

The article I didn't read personally, but it was in this past months edition of Gamepro. There is a link on Blizzard's boards to a scanned image of the article ... but naturally, Blizzard's forums are down.

*Edit* Now that the boards are back up I see the thread with the scanned version of Gamepro was deleted. I was also mistaken, Battlegrounds will be released in June, not July. Seeing that the CS Rep that posted in the other related threads couldn't even say that Gamepro was incorrect, or suggest that it would in fact come before June, isn't very promising.
