Default Walmart to purchase WoW

"In a continuing bid to widen it's customer base, Walmart is in negotiations with Blizzard Entertainment to purchase a controlling interest in World of Warcraft.

Among the immediate consumer strategies will be the rolling back of the monthly subscription rate to $7.95, with the retail game being rolled back to the same price. This should influence those paying $12-14 per month playing the other games on the market to shop for cheaper entertainment.

In addition, gold farmers will be licensed thru Walmart, and will be have strict guidelines under which they operate. Anyone found to be in violation of the "vendor contracts" will face swift litigation in both criminal and civil courts of law. Walmart will receive 12% of all sales of gold and items from the World of Warcraft.

Look for a change in corporate name and logos after five years to WoW-Mart, to acknowledge the enormous impact on stock prices that is expected from this acquisition, and influx of gamer money."

OK, so I was bored.

Tangentally, did Sony ever implement that "you can buy gold/exp/gear with real money on limited servers" concept they were talking about?

Next thing you know, you'll be seeing Walmart advertisements all over Stormwind and Orgrimmar!
